WHAT DO YOU DO? 

I make films and video art.

WHAT DOES ESCAPE:

TASTE LIKE?

Greek yogurt and honey. 

FEEL LIKE?

Something soft. 

SMELL LIKE?

A foreign city.

SOUND LIKE?

Ocean sounds. 

HOW WAS LIFE GROWING UP ON THE NORTHERN BEACHES? 

As a queer kid growing up on the Northern Beaches I didn’t have much exposure to other queer people, I think that's one of the things that inspires me to create work. To make films that make young queer kids feel seen. 

I spent a lot of my childhood following my big brother around, we spent most of it surfing and I’m so grateful for that, I always felt free in the ocean, it’s still my safe place.

HOW DO YOU THINK THE GENDER BINARY HAS CHANGED OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS? WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IT GO?

I hope people feel more free to move beyond the binary if that's more comfy for them. For me gender is fluid and I try to push that in my work. I do think we are moving in that direction but we still have a long way to go. 

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

Just making things that move people and that hopefully open them up to a new way of seeing the world.
